Dr Hamed Shafaie
A bit about me:
I'm Dr. Hamed Shafaie, a rural-trained General Practitioner with extensive experience in family medicine. I have spent the last 7 years working in and around the Shepperton and Swan Hill regions, where I also served as Chief Medical Officer for the Shepperton Emergency Department. My medical interests include preventative health and community health education, focusing on improving health literacy and supporting holistic patient care. I specialise in chronic disease management, mental health, and children’s health, and I am passionate about promoting overall community well-being.

Dr Nadia Shafaq
A bit about me:
I'm Dr. Nadia, a General Practitioner with extensive experience in both Australia and overseas. My career has included work at leading clinics and hospitals such as the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Austin Hospital, and Northern Health before I joined EpicHealth in 2018. My medical interests include promoting family health and adopting a collaborative team approach to assessments and treatment planning. I specialise in children’s health, women’s health, mental health, and chronic disease management ensuring my patients receive the highest standard of care.

Dr Shama Parveen
A bit about me:
I'm Dr. Shama Parveen, a General Practitioner with over 8 years of experience and extensive training across various hospitals in Australia. Alongside my clinical work, I am also a medical educator and enjoy mentoring medical students. My medical interests include providing holistic care in aged care, women’s health, children’s health, and mental health. I specialise in chronic health management and am skilled in performing minor procedures, including skin cancer treatments.

Dr Izril Ismail
A bit about me:
I'm Dr. Izril, a General Practitioner with over 20 years of experience. I earned 15 years of clinical expertise working in a hospital in Malaysia before relocating to Australia, where I spent 7 years specialising in critical care. Since 2021, I have been practising as a GP in Cowes, Berwick, and Woori Yallock while pursuing fellowship training with the RACGP. My medical interests include Advanced Trauma Life Support, mental health, and paediatric life support, and I specialise in chronic disease management and aged care.

Dr Mohamed Javid
A bit about me:
I'm Dr. Javid, after completing my undergraduate Medical Degree in Melbourne, I headed back to Singapore, where I am originally from. I worked here for a few years, before moving to New Zealand to complete my General Practice Fellowship. I am comfortable managing most GP presentations, and have areas of interest in chronic disease management and minor surgery. I have completed a Certificate of Dermoscopy and am currently completing a Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine with the Skin Cancer College Australasia. Working in Skin Cancer Medicine allows me to play a preventive role by screening for skin cancers, especially in high-risk patients, diagnosing and treating them, as well as potentially removing aggressive skin cancers in earlier stages.

I'm Ryan Carruthers, an experienced physiotherapist with a strong commitment to improving health and mobility through physical methods. I have extensive expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of conditions to prevent disease and disability. My medical interests include supporting recovery from injuries, reducing pain and stiffness, and enhancing mobility. I specialise in creating personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, with a focus on both recovery and preventing future injuries.

Fernando Alves
Podiatrist and Orthotic Specialist
A bit about me:
Fernando graduated from La Trobe University with a Masters in Podiatry and is registered with the Podiatry Board of Australia. He enjoys all facets of podiatry, with a special interest in the management of sporting injury and rehabilitation, as well as paediatric related cases. Fernando has experience in working with hospitalised patients that live with chronic conditions - Monash Medical Centre and experience working at a sports clinic.
